Justvisiting in the Pink - 04-08-2011

On the 4th August the prestigious newspaper the Financial Times (the Pink Un) featured Justvisiting.  In a dedicated article on page 2, it highlighted our role of providing free and secure communications for friends and family of people unfortunate enough to need medical support.  Justvisiting co-director Michael Lavery was quoted as saying "We want to provide a service aligned to the values of the NHS and our own personal values of providing a service we won\'t profit from".

Calling Leicester.... - 23-02-2011

You may have heard Jeff from justvisiting.com on Radio Leicester talking to Rupal Ranjani - well, talking AT Rupal really.... One of the things mentioned was our search for justvisiting users to come forward to tell their stories. We'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who would like to share their experience of using justvisiting but particularly anyone in the Leicester area. The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is one of the growing number of trusts we're working with to publicise justvisiting and they would be very interested to hear from you too. Simply use the 'contact us' function on the top or bottom toolbar or email us at info@justvisiting.com. We know it's not always easy but your story might help others. Many thanks.

'Inspiring Voices' Award Success - 09-02-2011

Great news - we're celebrating having been selected for one of Media Trust's Inspiring Voices Awards this year.

These awards celebrate the varied and inspiring ways disadvantaged communities have empowered themselves with the help of digital media.  Media Trust has awarded £500 awards to ten inspirational communities across the country whose work is helping to give the community a voice through digital media - one of which is Justvisiting C.I.C. for the development and growth of justvisiting.com.

The awards form part of Media Trust’s Community Voices scheme, a nationwide campaign that aims to inspire, engage and support disadvantaged and isolated communities to get their voices heard through digital media.

Media Trust’s Director of Marketing and Communications Services, Gavin Sheppard, said, “It’s really exciting to see the wealth of digital media work going on in so many communities. These awards help to highlight that excellence as well as providing them with the means to further grow their work and inspire other communities to find their voice and make it heard.”

Huge thanks to Media Trust for this recognition and endorsement and to all our friends and supporters, without whom....well, you know. Thank you all so much.

More big news to follow soon about the rapidly growing support for justvisiting.com amongst NHS Trusts.
